Better late than never for the Tuesday art project this week. The word is western, Liz's is on the top and Kalli's is on the bottom.
My thinking is simple with this one. When I consider the word western, plaid yoke shirts with pearly snaps and piping come to mind. I used those shirts as inspiration while creating this deconstructed plaid pattern, but took it to a much more modern place.
My "Western" is a combination of photos I mostly took in Austin. The main writing is from a frosted glass cup I saw in an antique shop that I shot through. It had a sort of gold-rush theme.
I would love to get my hands on that glass cup, Kalli! Yours truly has that rugged western feel.
