Liz & Kalli #11 International

Wow, sorry I've been away from this space for a full week. I've been extremely busy at work and home, and we had a wedding in Palm Springs over the weekend. Here is the next installment in Tuesdays with Liz & Kalli. Liz's is on top and Kalli's piece is on the bottom. I thought about the shape that the world is when it is represented flat. I wanted to use that shape to build an interesting pattern. I was also thinking about latitude and longitude lines, so I included a bit of a grid. Kalli says that she had a total meltdown on this extra warm Tuesday and could only think of one thing: global warming. Hence, the red hot outline of the world. I like the contrast between the two, I used up every inch of my paper and Kalli's has much more white space and breathing room.
