Ok, so here we are, #24 in this fine little art project. The word is hexagonal, Liz's is on the top and Kalli's is on the bottom.

See why I was taking pictures of hexagons in the last post? In the end though it was this blog post that served as the inspiration for my submission this week. Oh, and I should mention how much I adore Alicia's blog. I love her writing style and her voice that comes through in every post. Anyways, that could be a whole post in itself. I wanted to try my hand at English paper piecing and here it is. I used all of my own fabric designs. I'm not sure what I will do with this little lovely flower, but it has definitely got me wanting to make more. It was so fun and addictive!

Here's my hexagon. I used the computer to make a honeycomb kind of pattern and partially filled it in with some cool new watercolors I found in Ohio that have a metallic sheen. There's even a metallic white/silver color.
I love the subtle metallic sheen, subdued color palette and perspective here. Nice work!
