Ok, here we are, back on track. This week's word is lavender. Liz's piece is on the top and Kalli's is on the bottom. Wow, so these ones are different, huh? Much more different than #29.

I wanted to do something different and new and unexpected this week, so I played around with type as texture. All of the letters are in the word lavender, even if it does not overtly say the word. I know the colors aren't quite lavender, but I love that palette. It so reminds me of my bedroom growing up. When I was a kid I was a purple fanatic.

Kalli says, "Today is lavender day, so here's a ....lavender day? This piece doesn't really mean anything, I was just playing with photos of flowers and digitally making them purple and textural, but then I found this balloon photo I took and some others at the beach and it felt sunny and happy so I went with it."
