Remember a while back when I said I would share some of the ways that I recharge my batteries? That was almost a month ago now. Where does the time go? No, seriously, where does it go?
I have been running lately. In the mornings before Rylie and Ryan wake. It is fast becoming an essential part of the day for me. I find that if I can get up before the baby and get a little bit of time with myself and my thoughts, the rest of the day just sort of works itself out. I haven't always been a runner, but right now it seems like the perfect exercise for me. I can do it somewhat quickly, it gets my heart rate up, it makes me feel good, and it clears my mind. Plus, I don't have to leave the neighborhood to take a quick jog.
I bought these shoes while I was pregnant, which seems like an odd thing to do since pregnant feet are much different than non-pregnant feet. I wasn't sure if they would still fit or be comfortable post partum, but I've been running in these for several weeks now and they feel great. No blisters, no pain in my shins and the fit is great. I know that some women's feet grow in length during pregnancy, isn't that so funny? Pregnancy effects your whole body, for sure. I haven't really experienced this though, and I'm so glad. Though, it would be a great excuse to buy new shoes.
