I didn't believe that my tiny kitchen could be turned into a cookie factory, but in fact that is what has happened here over the last few days. The cookies above are party favors for a little gumdrop-wreath-making/dance party that Rylie and I are hosting later this afternoon. Over extending myself in the customary way, I am certainly entertaining a whole lot of internal dialogue regarding my decision to cut out intricate shaped gingerbread detailed with the thinest lines of icing just hours before our friends arrive, but I am happy with how they've turned out. I am a novice cookie decorator at best, but I really enjoyed doing these (despite my tendency to wait until the last minute.) I've already dropped the hint to Ryan that a baking/cake deocrating class might be a nice idea for a gift . . . afterall, my birthday is right after Christmas . . . I mean, just saying.
