That is the only word that comes to mind when hearing of the incomprehensible tragedy in Connecticut today. In times like these, my mind wants to jump straight to the darkness of anger, fear, blame, judgement, resentment, etc. But instead I'll take pause, from the quiet of my small corner in this crazy (and wonderful) world, and focus my thoughts and prayers on all those that are suffering the deepest of sorrow tonight and for the long road ahead.
